About Us
Since moving to the area in August 2016 I have fulfilled a life long ambition, to paint, pure and simple. Being self-taught, every time I pick up a paint brush is a lesson, in handling the colour, allowing the paint to blend and mix and knowing when to stop! I love to add vintage finds and use them as perches and props for the creatures to create stories and showcase their personalities.
I’m impatient for the little faces of my subjects to appear and feel a bond with them as we travel through their creation. Sometimes they battle with me, sometimes they’ll happily glide onto the board, either way I’ll refer to them as one of my “babies” when they are fully there, as crazy as that may sound!
My original watercolours are professionally reproduced as fine art giclee prints and fine art cards and I have added to my range for when wall space is at a premium to include homewares such as vegan suede cushions, coasters and lampshades with wooden postcards being the newest addition to the range as affordable pieces of art to keep or post. I am always adding to my collection of original artwork as the beautiful forest of dean inspires me every day.
